Abstract

This paper is the result of examining reasons for unattractiveness of the course on History of the German Language. First, the lecturer’s position is discussed. Next, the author verifies the conditions for the correct presentation of historical material. Finally, practical tools that help make History of the German Language attractive and useful to students are described.
