Abstract

Oddajemy w Państwa ręce IX tom „Annales Universitatis Paedagogicae Cracoviensis. Studia Psychologica”, będący jednocześnie numerem specjalnym poświęconym zagadnieniom z obszaru psychologii sztuki. Rocznik składa się z dwu części: tematycznej – obejmującej teksty empiryczne oraz teoretyczne z zakresu psychologii estetyki, twórczości i arteterapii, oraz varia – łączącej teksty prezentujące aktualne problemy współczesnej psychologii. Pierwsza część obejmuje szerokie spektrum tematów poruszających specjalistyczne zagadnienia, jak i problemy natury ogólnej. Czytelnik znajdzie tu między innymi teksty z zakresu estetyki empirycznej, dotyczące uwarunkowań percepcji estetycznej odbiorców sztuk wizualnych czy też psychologicznych mechanizmów angażowania się odbiorców gier wideo. W tej części znajdują się również artykuły prezentujące różnorodne konsekwencje twórczości: zarówno krótkofalowe – takie jak doświadczanie emocji mieszanych i radzenie sobie z tremą w przypadku publicznej prezentacji dzieła w sztukach wykonawczych, jak i długofalowe – związane ze społecznym funkcjonowaniem osób twórczych i uzdolnionych. Znajdziemy tu również prace o charakterze stosowanym, wskazujące praktyczne możliwości wykorzystania sztuki w oddziaływaniach psychologicznych oraz teksty odpowiadające na pytania bardziej generalne – takie jak o to, czym jest estetyczny sposób przeżywania rzeczywistości, a także jakie funkcje pełnią sztuka i aktywność twórcza. Druga część tomu zawiera sześć tekstów o zróżnicowanej tematyce. Dwa artykuły poświęcone zostały zagadnieniom coraz bardziej zaawansowanego zastosowania robotów we wspomaganiu rozwoju człowieka w terapii i edukacji. W ich kontekście ciekawe uzupełnienie zagadnienia interakcji człowiek – robot może stanowić tekst poświęcony granicom człowieczeństwa, a także kwestiom antropomorfizacji i dehumanizacji. Kolejne artykuły odsyłają czytelnika do zagadnień takich jak rozwijanie empatii lekarzy, różnice płciowe w relacjach przyjacielskich, jak również mapy poznawcze terenów miejskich.

We give you the 9th volume of Annales Universitatis Paedagogicae Cracoviensis. Studia Psychologica, which is a special issue devoted to topics concerning the psychology of art. The annual issue comprises of two parts: thematic – covering empirical and theoretical texts from the psychology of aesthetics, creativity and art therapy, and varia – presenting texts concerning presenting current problems of contemporary psychology. The first part consists of a spectrum of topics tackling both specialist issues and general problems. The reader can find texts concerning empirical aesthetics, dealing with the aesthetic perception of visual art recipients, or the psychological mechanisms connected to the engagement of video games recipients. This part also includes articles presenting various consequences of creativity – both short-term – like experiencing mixed emotions and coping with stage fright during public art presentation , and long-term – connected with the social functioning of creative and gifted people. We can also find articles of an applied nature, pointing to practical possibilities of using art in psychological treatments, as well as texts answering general questions such as what is the aesthetic way of embracing reality, and what are the functions of art and creative activity? The second part of the journal contains six texts with different topics. Two articles are devoted to more advanced use of robots in supporting human development in therapy and education. In that context, the text on the boundaries of humanity and the issues of anthropomorphization and dehumanization can be an interesting complementation of the theme of human-robot interaction. Further texts send the reader to such issues as developing doctors’ empathy, sex differences in friendship relationships, as well as cognitive maps of urban areas.
