dc.description.abstract | The article draws attention to issues of school education in the United States. The
author presents the historical and pedagogical overview of informal and afterschool
education of the United States, highlighting the chronological stages of school education
and by searching the types and forms of informal and afterschool education and
the process of identification. Special attention is paid to the analysis of the impact of
historical, political and social conditions in the country on the purposes and forms
of after-school educational institutions. A separate analysis of the role of government,
community and business in the development and transformation of extracurricular activities in America is provided. | en_EN |
