Abstract
The article contains analysis of Shakespeare’s plays staged in Krakow. The author shows how the public interest in Shakespeare’s dramatic works has changed over the years and what aspects of plays absorbed close attention. The research covers also performances of stars in outstanding Shakespearean roles.
