The paper presents Jakub Bojko’s literary and journalistic output. Jakub Bojko carried on his political, social, and educational activities for the benefit of the peasantry on the turn of the 19th century. By means of introducing elements of regional dialect into literary Polish context he made his texts typical for the new folk literature. The texts were analyzed in respect of language and style to study the function of elements of regional dialect. The elements contribute to variety of style, adapting it to wide range of receivers tracing their origin back to country folk. Regional dialect occur in the texts as a medium of expression because its specific feature lies in emotional differentiation of texts. Using of regional dialect with no doubt influences efficiency of Jakub Bojko's works that are with a strong expressive tinge and once were very popular among readers of folk periodicals like ‘Piast’ or ‘Przyjaciel Ludu’. Material basis of this treatise consists of texts edited by Franciszek Ziejka in the collected works entitled ‘Jakub Bojko, Gorące słowa’/'Jakub Bojko, Hot Words’.
