Leksem czerwony jako komponent związków frazeologicznych w języku polskim

Abstract

The paper presents idiomatic connexion of the lexical item czerwony/red that makes word connexions occurring in contemporary Polish idiomatic expressions. Realized from this point of view quantitative analysis allows to state that this attribute of colour becomes the most often components of structures with names of plants (15), then with names of animals (9), parts of the body (8), and fire (8). Considering direct prototypical connexions of czerwony/ red it may be noticed that a majority refers to word connexions with fire (8) and a minority to connexions with blood (2). Then in idiomatic material many references to blood may be testified, which convinces of identifying the colour first of all with living activity and with both positive and negative emotions.
