The subject of the paper is to show grammar metaphor in a cognitive perspective. The analyzed empirical material was taken from written discourse (both thematic - referring to FAIRY-TALE - and activity [intersemiotic translation] ones) of early school pupils (2nd and 3rd form). The author focused on some metaphorical uses of the accusative case with the preposition on (Polish „ na”).The analyzed figurative expressions are presented by means of prepared by the author spectrum including variability in relation to such parameters like newness, rootedness, productivity, and intensity. Within the spectrum three types of metaphorical uses were distinguished and then three domain (spatial, temporal, and abstract) were separated within the metaphorical uses. Particular schemes, types, and subtypes of metaphorical uses of nouns in accusative case with the pronoun on were finally illustrated by means of prepared by the author notional schemes.en_EN
