dc.description.abstract | The aim of this article is to present the results of the research into the reception of Oscarwinning
movies among teenagers (lower and upper secondary school students). Three
movies, namely Slumdog Millionaire, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button and The Reader
were the favourites of the young viewers. The students watched the films attentively and
were able to present and justify their choices and opinions. The results of the survey created
quite a coherent and homogenous picture of the movies. It seems that the students’ interest
in the cinema and the capability of critical thinking derive from the media education provided
by the school. | en_EN |
