In 2014 the Afghan people will be responsible for their own security.
Health and Nutrition improvement is one of the elements of the
Afghanistan National Development Strategy. This article presents social
determinants of health care in Afghanistan; Afghanistan’s Revised
Millennium Development Goals Targets and Indicators in Health and
Nutrition; the expected outcomes in health sector. It also points out the
Components of the Basic Package of Health Services and the basic
services offered by hospitals. The Author also presents current issues in
afghan health care, and The Strategic Plan for the Ministry of Public
Health.
