dc.description.abstractThe article is an attempt to test one of the possibilities of improving methods for prognosis of success in the beginning of learning of reading, i.e. to test the method in which the elements of programmed learning are used. Two method, constructed by the author, were used in the study: test of perception and memory of word-like shapes having traditional structures, and the semiprogrammed sample of learning of these shapes. These two methods, in three different versions, were applied to three randomly chosen groups, each of 84 pupils of the first class of elementary school. The study revealed higher prognostic value of traditional measurement of skills trained by the semiprogrammed method in comparison with measurements made without such a training.en_EN
