In the study there was made an attempt at analysis of intellectual and temperamental determinants of informal relations between 33 pupils of first grade in primary school.
Sociometric standing of the child was measured with Sociometric Test of J.L. Moreno and Plebiscite of Kindness and Unwillingness of J. Korczak. Temperamental traits were measured with Reactivity Rating Scale of Friedensberg, Mobility Rating Scale of A. Beau- vale & J. Pakula and Personality Inventory for Children of H.J. Eysenck. The level of intelligence was measured with Coloured Progressive Matrices Test of Raven and Vocabulary Test of A. Beauvale. The conclusions of the study confirmed the data published in literature concerning the effect of child’s intelligence on the level of his popularity in the group of the peers. They also focused the attention on similar, positive effect of excitation and mobility on sociometric standing of the child.
The analysis of similarity between partners of interaction showed that pupils felt more sympathy firstly to the better colleagues, secondly to the similar and the less popular group was consisted of worse pupils.
