The paper presents analysis of children's social behavior in kindergarten, altruistic behavior towards unknown peers and attitudes towards the kindergarten measured in the kindergarten and at home.
The results showed that behavior of six years old children was more often modified by separate influence of reactivity and intelligence than by their interaction. Reactivity influenced children's social behavior in kindergarten. Children with low level of reactivity were more sociable and had more positive attitudes towards kindergarten. Altruistic behaviors depended on individual traits – but the effect was not so strong. The influence of interaction among reactivity and intelligence was noticed only in children's attitudes towards kindergarten. Interactive effects of reactivity and intelligence made that in children with high level of reactivity intelligence improved the attitudes towards kindergarten.
