Over the last years, the topic of integration of disabled people has gained popularity. The author
of the article suggests looking at the idea of integration in two ways – firstly, as the possibility of
a fuller development and more independent functioning of a person. Secondly, as a chance for
a disabled person to be oneself among others. Taking all these circumstances into consideration, it
seems justified to implement this process into the earliest stages of education. However, its proper
organization is a difficult and multidimensional task whose success depends on numerous factors.
It is worth to consider what else can be done for all the ideological assumptions of the school
integration to come into being.
