Abstract

The article focuses on the theoretical approach of the subject literature overview on the topic of the understanding of the term “development support”. The definition of the term “development support” is dependent on the official definition explaining the understanding of development support. Among the discussed concepts of development support of a child and adolescent there are the elaborations of such authors as: B. Kayia, A. Brzezińska, I. Obuchowska, E. Gruszczyk-Kolczyńska, W. Pilecka, M. Kielar-Turska. More of the described factors which influence the development support include the addressee and executor of the support, statutory, organizational solutions and legal acts, as well as factors influencing the effectiveness of development support. The author puts much importance in the deliberations around the problem of the approach to development support to the understanding of the term “development”.
