SONB/SP/465103/2020 pt. "Organizacja kolekcji czasopism naukowych w Repozytorium UP wraz z wykonaniem rekordów analitycznych".Abstract
A child with special educational needs is not only a child with disabilities, it is also an especially
gifted one. In the intellectual area a gifted child outruns their peers – they process information
coming from different sources quickly and with ease, they are curious, interested in the world
around them, they have a large imagination and at the same time large knowledge about the
world around them.
Aside from many other forms of supporting the development of gifted children in the Polish
education system, there are also Children Universities. The main idea of Children Universities
is to induce world-curiosity, to show that science does not have to be boring, but it is also
a great answer to the needs of gifted children, to satisfy their hunger for knowledge and
constant search for the answers to questions troubling them.
Each child has a talent that we – the teachers must see already in the earliest years of their
lives. A great help in noticing, and then developing the talents of children can be found in
the wide range of extracurricular classes in kindergarten and in such modern institutions as
Children Universities, which are a great way to support the development of gifted children.
The 21st century is a time when everyone can discover their talent!
