This article presents the role and importance of counseling and psychological and pedagogical
help in the process of rehabilitation of children with disabilities.
The first part of the article focuses on explaining such issues as: counseling, help, psychological
and pedagogical help, and tasks, rules, methods, techniques, and research tools used in the
work of a psychologist and pedagogue and in psychological and pedagogical counseling.
The second part, in turn, draws attention to institutions which specialize in professional
counseling and psychological and pedagogical help in the process of rehabilitation of a child
with disabilities. Such institutions include: perinatal hospices, early intervention centers,
early development help centers, psychological and pedagogical clinics, and daily support
facilities.
