Bartosz Mucha is a designer. The article 52 LAZY WEEKS – paraarchitectonic conceptual
designs is a description of the artistic work that he carried out in the years 2010 and 2011.
Undertaking a year-long action aimed at maximizing the work so that one conceptual design is
created per week. The results of this process were exhibited in a branch of the Zachęta Gallery
of Art – Kordegard’s Project in Warsaw and included conceptual designs, 3D visualizations,
models, and prototypes that present the topic of the house: house as a haven, house as
a harbor, a synonym of safety and warmth. For the purpose of the undertaking, the author
coined the term “paraarchitecture”. The exhibition was accompanied by the book titled
Welcome Home which documented the effects of the year-long work.
