Abstract

The aim of the paper is to present the outcome of the evaluation survey on the quality of education. The analysis is based on quantitative and qualitative research carried out among the students of the Chair of Security and Civil Education of the Pedagogical University of Krakow in May 2012. It focuses on three aspects: didactic and pedagogical competences of students acquired during their studies, the assessment of the quality of educational elements, and the implementation of educational objectives in line with the curriculum of the security education. In the article, the author refers to the respondents’ recommendations and reports final results of the research. The following analysis is a part of wide-ranging evaluation research aimed at exploring the quality and effectiveness of education. The investigation is done on a regular basis by the Chair of Security and Civil Education in order to revise the curricula in accordance with current challenges.
