SONB/SP/465103/2020 pt. "Organizacja kolekcji czasopism naukowych w Repozytorium UP wraz z wykonaniem rekordów analitycznych".Abstract
The picture of the Polish society, the changes that took place in the period of deep transformations in the countries of the Central
and Eastern Europe, do not look good when citizenship is concerned. The activity of the Polish society, citizenship and reflecting
pro-social attitudes are marginal. Deficit of citizenship, aversion to activity and alienation from the society’s life can be attributed to
unsatisfactory results of the civic education. From the point of view of the civil society, in order to build a democratic outcome,
these unsatisfactory results should be changed to more positive, active, and committed ones by continuing the aims and
objectives of the civic education.
This task, which constitutes a great challenge, continues to remain the responsibility of the Polish school. The continuation of
civic education is provided by universities. An example of education in this regard may be the Pedagogical University of Krakow
and the Department of Security and Citizenship Education. It is extremely important that schools and universities are supported
by other institutions as it lies at the heart of the proper development of civic society and will significantly improve the learning
outcomes.
