Герои этнически «другие» в рассказах Людмилы Улицкой

Abstract

The article is devoted to the issue of ethnic “otherness” and mode of its presentation in Lyudmila Ulitskaya’s stories. Among the “other” heroes: children, women, ill and disabled people, there is a large group of individuals characterized with an ethnic origin other than Russian, mostly Jews, but also representatives of various national minorities composing the Soviet empire. Their otherness is defined by the non-compliance to the political, social and cultural norms.
