The article discusses the following matters: low awareness about the significance of works of art, art gallery as a place of a meeting between creators. Private view – is it only an exhibition? Active participation of a student in meeting with artists and their creative output; the importance of a teacher as a culture manager, a person inspiring to creative activity; techniques and methods of teaching classes aiming at enhancing knowledge on art and artistic phenomenal; the significance of visual art competitions; success as a vital motivator for further creative activity; methods of expressing one’s own self by activity in visual art.
