Educational values in contemporary school - theory and practice

In my article I refer to the multistage research on educational values. I define them and
present my own list of values grouped into four categories: cognitive-intellectual values,
moral-social values, creative values, aesthetic values and health and ecological values. I also
present shortly the results of my research considering didactic theory, social expectations and
the core curriculum, as well as opinions of teachers and students dealing with this issue.
Finally, I draw some conclusions based on the analysis of my research and suggest possible
solutions to some of the problems which hopefully can be helpful in making the process of
acquiring and realization of values at schools more effective or at least it can be a starting
point about educational values because there is no education without them.
