Trzy odsłony słowa. Sztuka Ewy Sataleckiej

Abstract

Ewa Satalecka is a graphic designer, typographer, stage designer and teacher. She makes visual presentations of texts with the music of such composers as Witold Lutoslawski, Witold Szalonek, Philip Glass and Alfred Schnittke. Her small cameral exhibitions include unique artistic books of poems by her sister Dagmara Kuczynska-Ginko or Tadeusz Slawek. These texts are printed also on cloth, transparent films and other materials, building environments in art galleries. In book design she tends to integrate typography and picture. One of the most important elements in her artworks is a letter, a sign and symbol, treated as a medium of emotions, and a letter transformed in space and motion. The article presents selected artistic series concerning various aspects of human existence: friendship, loneliness, memory.
