Technological progress in electronics has an effect on the improvement of the quality of
life. It is also noticeable in bibliology, especially in library scientists’ work. Cultural goods
are eternalized on electronic carriers (portable disks or CDs) and made available via the
Internet. Owing to the modern technology, the traditional book begins to be replaced by an
e-book, and e-learning gradually becomes a common phenomenon. A perfect tool in archiving
library collections is professional photographic equipment, which faithfully copies valuable
documents without any risk of damage, and enables mobile access to them to a wide range
of readers. Using digital photographic technology in modern digitalization connects libraries,
archives and museums, at the same time protecting and promoting the cultural heritage of
the country.
