dc.description.abstract | The article presents dog therapy as an adjunct learning process in early intervention. It
characterizes types of activities with the participation of the dog, and presents targets
which can be realized in work with small child through this kind of therapy. Furthermore,
it highlights the disadvantages and advantages of the method. The author also uses the
article to point out the children for whom dog therapy is an adequate method and those
who should not take part in this type of activities. Finally, described are the conditions
that need to be met by both the dog and the therapist so that the therapy brought the
