In this study I wanted to present the expectations of people with intellectual disability regarding their professional activity after participating in the projects of supported employment. I emphasized the differences in expectations of beneficiaries of supported employment who, upon the completion of the projects, undertook the job and those who did not take up employment because of: its duration, working hours, possibility of weekend work, and commute time. The expectations of project beneficiaries show that they are mostly interested in working half-time, in the morning. They do not plan to work on weekends. They are not interested in shift work. They would like to commute for half an hour to an hour but some of the respondents stated that they do not mind to commute for up to two hours. The results of the study allow us to conclude that beneficiaries who participated in the projects of supported employment have realistic expectations about working conditions and can clearly verbalize it – what is a valuable indication for the occupational trainers what kind of work and conditions suits beneficiaries the most.en
