The agrarian terms include a group of nouns derived by means of formants containing
a component -w- (only marginally -ć- and -ń-). These names are connected with the cultivation and processing of
grains and other agricultural crops (flax), as well as stock farming. In the village records of Kasina Wielka the
following terms can be found: zasiew(y), zasiewie, zasianie (sowing); żniwo, żniewo, żniwa (harvest); mlewo, mliwo,
mieliwo, mełcie, mielenie (grinding); przędziwo, przędziwo (yarn); pastwa (pasture).
Suffixes with this component appeared in the following forms: -w, -w(a), -w(o), -wi(e), -iw(o) // -‘ew(o). These
suffixes served for the formation of names of products and activities, and as the secondary function – the
formation of temporal and place names. During development these suffixes might have become multifunctional or
change function.
Most of the described forms are not present anymore in the common language or dialect.
