dc.description.abstractThe purpose of this paper is to discuss how the lexeme ‘truth’ is responsible for expressing ethical values when it is used within metaphorical phrases in the homilies of Pope John Paul II during his pilgrimages to Poland. The data of the research consists of 255 passages which contain common metaphorical phrases with the lexeme ‘truth’. The process of analysis included methodology based on the concepts of George Lakoff, Mark Johnson and Krzysztof Korżyk.en
