A child, who has not developed the ability of closeness, of expressing emotions or creating normal relationships
with his or her peers must go through the same stadia of emotional development as a child without such
difficulties, although it may be done with different pace. In order to make it possible it is necessary to work
with such a child on the level of development on which he or she presently functions and to change one’s attitude
only when some progress is noticed.
