The article is an attempt of presenting the variety of diagnostic influences in the area of early stimulation of
the spheres which will condition the development of a child’s speech. The beginning of the process is an early
diagnosis of the reflexive oral reactions in newborns and infants, especially in those from the risk group i.e.
born from pathological pregnancies and labours, with malformation syndrome, genetic disorders or improper
development of alimentary and cognitive functions.
The study presents the possibility of diagnosing selected areas and an assumption that the best way of stimulating
the development of the central nervous system is taking care for the proper course of the basic physiological and
functional operations within the speech organ from the childhood – that is also the manner of taking in food and
breathing as well as cognitive functions.
The author of the article discusses the normative development of reflexive oral reactions and respiratory
functions. She also sets the course of the diagnostic action as well as points to the most useful tools of
neurologopedic diagnosis in the area of early intervention.
