The article discusses the problems connected with stimulating the psychophysical development of adults with severe
multiple disabilities on the example of a particular therapy introduced in a rehabilitation and education team. It
also presents suggestions of classes that improve the somatognosis, motor abilities, space orientation and are
suitable for adults with severe multiple disabilities. The therapy should be conducted in a way that takes the
individual preferences of students into consideration so that they could participate in the creation of what
happens around them. Suggested activities take into account the multisensory cognition of the surroundings so that
adults with severe multiple disabilities can experience, get familiar with and understand the phenomena that take
place in the surrounding world in spite of their considerable developmental limitations.
