Educational failures not only point to gaps in the mastery of knowledge and skills, they can
also be a source of further difficulties experienced by a child. A disturbing consequence of
permanent failures is lack of faith in the possibility of changing the course of events, low
self-esteem, loss of a sense of effectiveness and a sense of action. If the child does not find
adequate support in the family environment, and the school does not offer solutions to eliminate
the difficulties, the situation may turn out to be extremely complicated. The program
known as the Academy of the Future comes with the help for children experiencing such
difficulties. The text presents the assumptions of the program and its organizational and
methodical solutions.
