Abstract

Using photographs in English history teaching shows pupils the diversity of the past. Photos help understand history. We should remember that every teacher in Great Britain knows how to use sources in teaching about the past. Photographs are not only a supplement to the main text in pupils’ coursebook. Very often they form an independent historic source, which helps in discovering the topic, or is an element of infographics.
