SONB/SP/465103/2020 pt. "Organizacja kolekcji czasopism naukowych w Repozytorium UP wraz z wykonaniem rekordów analitycznych".Abstract
The text elaborates on the problem of the independence of analog and digital graphic art in
the context of the traditions of printing techniques, but also in the confrontation with the development
of graphic techniques using new technologies. The author reflects upon the problems
of redefining the notion of “graphic art” confronted with the mass culture and the informational
society.
It is a subjective vision of the author – the technical graphic artist himself, who does make
use of the digital technology in his own artistic work. Admitting that the huge impact digital media
have made on the shape of contemporary graphic art, the author notices that graphic technologies
differ more in the context of the idea of graphic art than in its aesthetic level.
