The article considers the original project of five drawing classes with the comments on these
classes. The project was realised by a group of students in the third year who specialise in Art
Education, supervised by the assistant professor Halina Cader in 1994/95.
The project Metadrawing concerned drawing as an interdisciplinary technique, with emphasis
on its initiative and conceptual character.
Four of the classes mentioned above are provided with a commentary concerning the notion
off the actual art. The fifth class was a summary of the whole project.
The cycle of the Metadrawing classes is an attempt to establish a function and context of
drawing in the art of the nineteen nineties, as well as an attempt at the artistic interpretation of
the word metadrawing.
