SONB/SP/465103/2020 pt. "Organizacja kolekcji czasopism naukowych w Repozytorium UP wraz z wykonaniem rekordów analitycznych".Abstract
The author of the article historical tables placed in seven textbooks for literary and cultural education in Secondary School and
Technical School. It appears that, apart from historical events from ancient Middle East, Greece and Rome, they contain
numerous events of mythical nature, e.g. coming from the Old Testament, which are the matter of Christian faith. The author
claims that their selection is determined by denomination, and not based on the substance. “Historical” tables seem to be an
instrument of ideological war for students’ minds. Apart from defining historical data, the aim of the article is to train
methodologists, teachers and students in critical thinking not used, as it turns out, in the case of fragments coming from the Old
Testament. The article gives rise to postulates of further examining textbooks for Polish literature education with respect to their
hidden religious agenda.
