On the territory of Russian partition sector and under the conditions of liquidation of national
education system, the establishment of the University for All and the Polish Educational
Society should be noted among other educational endeavours. The period of Young Poland
movement brought pedagogical interest in art treated as a means to overcome the unilateral
character of intellectual education. The increased significance of drawing was related to
the founding of organizations which associated people interested in the idea of visual arts
education. And thus a drawing section was created by the Polish Teachers’ Association (1906).
The Museum of Craftsmanship and Applied Art convened a meeting of Polish teachers of
drawing (1907). A pedagogical (drawing) section was established by the Warsaw Art Society
(1908). Also, exhibitions of school drawing (1910) and those related to art in children’s life
(1911) were organized.
