Abstract
The subject of the article is the reconstruction of the image of the Bochnia land based on the analysis of toponyms collected in the commune of Żegocina. Toponymic linguistic material was examined in the context of cultural linguistics, which allowed it to reflect the image of the former village and its inhabitants, as well as to indicate the characteristic dialectal features present in this area.
