Modern higher school must take into consideration the rich and various academical
tradition with its flexible activity, effectiveness and the ability to cooperate with the
environment. The state and tendencies of the higher education development, regionalism
and processes of glottalization as well as their fulfillment in the context of educational
and upbringing process, the concept of authoritarian and democratic pedagogy,
pedagogical techniques, pedagogy of partnership, the role of informational technology
in the preparation of the teachers-to-be at universities of Ukraine all these features are
outlined in the article. The reformation of higher education in the mainstream of general
European tendencies sets a highly important task before the pedagogues, scientists, state
and public men, that is, to form the teacher-to-be as a patriot of Ukraine and a highly
qualified specialist.
