Żeńskie imiona chrzestne w księgach urodzeń miasta Miechowa

Abstract

In the present article, 115 Christian names of female children born between 1918 and 1939 have been presented and analysed. The source material is based on parish registers which are available in Miechow parochial office. These names constitute a great collection of names typical of the interwar period. An interesting picture of Christian name-giving, its custom and motivation is obtained in this area. They also make the continuation of research which is conducted on the basis of the Births and Deaths Registration Act.
