Dziecięca powieść grozy : od Andersena do Gaimana

Abstract

Doktorat zatytułowany "Dziecięca powieść grozy od Andersena do Gaimana" to praca skupiająca się na prezentowaniu zjawisk grozy, makabry, okrucieństwa oraz groteski w literaturze dla dzieci. Celem pracy jest omówienie różnorodnych przykładów grozy w baśniach magicznych braci Grimm i Charlesa Perraulta, literackich baśniach Hansa Christiana Andersena, powieściach onirycznych z końca XIX i początku XX wieku Lewisa Carrolla, Ernsta T. A. Hoffmanna, Jamesa M. Barriego oraz szczegółowe omówienie postmodernistycznego gatunku dla dzieci: dziecięcej powieści grozy autorstwa Roalda Dahla, Lemony Snicketa, Chrisa Priestley, Neila Gaimana i wielu innych, w której zjawiska grozy pełnią funkcję autoteliczną. Praca utrzymana jest w ramach metodologii z zakresu krytyki archetypowej.

The Ph. D thesis titled "Children's horror novel from Andersen to Gaiman" is a work which focuses on presenting the phenomena of horror, ghastliness, cruelty and grotesque in literature for children. The purpose od this thesis is to discuss the various examples of terror in the magical Grimm Brothers and Charles Perault's fairy tales; Hans Christian Andersen's literary fairy tales; Lewis Carroll's, Ernst T. A. Hoffmann's and James M. Barrie’s oneiric novels from the and of XIX and the beginning of XX century. There is also a detailed discussion od post - modernist genre for children: Children's horror novels by Roald Dahl, Lemony Snicket, Chris Priestley, Neil Gaiman and many others in which the phenomenon of horror has a major function. The thesis is maintained within the methodology of archetypal criticism.
