dc.description.abstract | The new media, in other words informatic, satellite, cable, telecommunication, telematic nets and multimedia are of
great importance in education, but the investigation of their role in teaching Polish is only about to start. The
decrease in reading is due to the formation of new communication habits. The reference of the teaching of Polish to
the new media has been postulated since the 1990s. The ones who wrote about it, among others, were: P.
Andrusiewicz, A. Biernacka, R. Bryzek, A. Książek-Szczepanikowa, J. Kowalikowa, A. Ogonowska, M. Rusek,
B. Skowronek, P. Sporek, W. Strokowski, К. Stróżyński, and 1. Zeller. Linguists (P. Nowak, L. Tymiankin] formed a
proposition of analysis of communication in mediumistic space with the aim to perceive manipulation. Educational
application of computer games was tested, among others, by J. Szeja, J.Z. Lichański, R. Kochanowicz, M. Zaremba,
and the role of computers in learning orthography and punctuation - by E. Polański.
New media utilization in Polish teaching is still insufficient, due to mental barriers: education is dominated by
verbalism, IT education is separated from classical education, media education is not realized, and investigations
of new media role are lacking in didactics and teachers’ education in this area. | en_EN |
