In the first section of the article, those poems by Zbigniew Herbert (1924–1998), which contain reflections on art are presented. Secondly, an attempt is made at establishing the relation between Herbert’s poetry and music and visual arts. Thirdly, a question is posed, concerning the perspective of translating a painting technique, architectural construction, sculpture and musical notation into the poetic discourse. In the second part of the article, the authors share their reflections on the application of the synthesis of arts in school teaching practice.en_EN
