dc.description.abstractThe article addresses issues involved in educating children and young people of the primary school and secondary schools. It looks at the design of this area in Polish education in the context of tradition. The exposition comprises the following elements: 1) reflections on the issue of pupil and teacher subjectivity; 2) a description of the proposed educational concept compared to traditional Polish Language education in schools; 3) a description and justification of solutions adopted in terms of their functions in the following areas: transmitting tradition and supporting students’ personal development; 4) a description and justification of solutions adopted in terms of their functions in the following areas: helping to make sense of the contemporary cultural reality and preparing for future participation in life in society.en_EN
