dc.description.abstractThis article presents the exemplar of a contemporary teacher who has theoretically received perfect education and is very well prepared to perform his/her didactic and educative roles. This teacher, however, has slowly become a degenerated product of the 21 st Century, fully dependent on actions taken by his or her students, and distorted regulations, laws, and guidelines. The intension of the paper was to show that young teachers are ill-prepared to perform their duties, which is often the result of reducing the number of basic and specialization-related classes during their university training, as well as overblown legal regulations, the small number of duties given to their pupils and even pupils’ parents. These problems concern all levels of education. The paper also presents the concept of a contemporary pupil and student who does not know how to use educational materials available in libraries and reading rooms, and who compensates for the lack of such knowledge with the use of Internet sources without analyzing the downloaded materials that they readen_EN
