Student’s subjectivity in a school class, which refers to human’s basic value (quality) is an
obvious necessity. Teachers, as well as other adults who work with children and teenagers
supporting their development, better and better realize how important value it is. This is
a sense of being a subject in the relations with the external world, it is also a right to be
yourself and it is expressed by active, directed and aware participation in the reality.
Despite that it is said that schools, specifically the teachers, do not care of creating
a situation of subjective students’ treatment in an appropriate manner. The situation
when child’s dignity, respect for his rights, including developmental ones, personality,
individuality, would find an appropriate place to raise separate, creative, bold and confident
of own rights and possibilities person, irrespective of the differences between them.
Meanwhile, child’s sex is an interesting factor which determines the socialization
process of the child in a school class. Unequal treatment of boys and girls at schools by
teachers, using and supporting sex stereotypes by them is an important issue in Pedagogical,
Psychological and Sociological studies and in the face of such phenomenon no one can
talk about subjectivity of young person in a school class.
